why is adobe acrobat reader dc not responding

Spent a lot of time and reboots on trying to get this app to work.

I have checked that version is supposed to be compatible tith W8.1

Windows OS version is: Windows 8.1 Pro 圆4 Build

Run a connectivity check to ensure nothing is interfering with your connection and initiate the download again. Ensure that you are on a stable internet connection. Opening PDF's with Chrome or some other reader works fine On the downloads page, ensure you select the latest version of Adobe Acrobat from the drop-down list before downloading. Have tried multiple PDF's all with the same result. Have tried updating, uninstalling, reinstalling, running as administrator, using the Acrobat cleaner tool, turning off enhanced security mode, created a new Windows user profile, event logs show nothing other than the obvious the reader has had an application hang. Adobe Reader DC hangs is not responding when clicking the print button on the tool bar or from File - Print, dont even get the print dialogue box to attempt to change the printer or select properties to change any advanced settings like print as image, the only option is to close the app where I get a Adobe is not responding message where i get teh option to close the program or wait for it to respond.
